Characteristics of systems in organizations

This paper aims to show the benefits we can gain from using systems thinking. Understanding systems will facilitate action in the various activities of human life, including those related to organizations. Systems thinking is a method of identifying certain rules, patterns, and sequences of events to prepare for the future and influence it to some extent; it gives us a degree of control. Specifically, this paper seeks to show, through the identification of system characteristics within an organization, a better understanding of it and to provide some alternatives for action that may positively influence overall performance.
