Investigación en desarrollo económico: apuntes desde una experiencia personal

Los estudiantes universitarios en Latinoamérica necesitan incrementar su exposición al conocimiento y la práctica de la investigación académica. Este artículo comparte apuntes sobre la ejecución de investigación en desarrollo económico desde en una experiencia personal en el ámbito académico y de organismos de desarrollo internacional. Los apuntes se realizan bajo una estructura de contenidos mínimos que usualmente forman parte de un trabajo de investigación en esta disciplina. Dentro esa estructura, el artículo detalla ejemplos concretos y referencias sobre teorías, modelos y otras herramientas que se requieren para investigar procesos de trasformación económica alrededor del mundo. Al mismo tiempo, se discuten consideraciones prácticas como intereses, habilidades, datos y recursos, entre otros. Finalmente, cada sección del artículo provee comentarios que apuntan a mejorar las políticas públicas de investigación en el contexto de Latinoamérica.
