Abstract

This issue of Revista Perspectivas compiles research articles that address fundamental topics within the field of economic and business sciences. First, leadership during times of crisis is analyzed, highlighting adaptive leadership as one of the most relevant approaches during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. This type of leadership fosters organizational resilience and demands more human and empathetic skills from leaders. The second article presents an econometric study examining the long-term relationship between tax revenue, Gross Domestic Product, and private investment in Ecuador from 2000 to 2021, using VAR and VECM models with official data. The third article reflects on the evolution of Official Development Assistance (ODA) over the past twenty years, especially in the post-pandemic context, emphasizing the importance of a more integrated and strategic approach by both recipient countries and international donors. Additionally, the growing phenomenon of mobile banking is addressed, exploring the factors that influence its adoption using the UTAUT2 model and structural equation modeling tools to validate the results. Finally, the impact of fiscal deficit on the real exchange rate in Argentina is analyzed through a dynamic stochastic general equilibrium model. The findings show that the nature of the deficit—whether caused by tax cuts or increased spending—generates different effects, particularly relevant in highly dollarized emerging economies. Altogether, these studies offer valuable insights for contemporary economic analysis and strategic decision-making.
