Abstract

Facing the stagnation of the most developed G-7 countries, emerging economies like the BRIC nations and G-20 members have grown rapidly, gaining economic power and representing a large share of the world’s GDP. This is weakening the traditional influence of the G-7 and institutions like the IMF and World Bank, showing that the global economy is changing, with new powers leading more dynamic growth and promising a future of greater prosperity and equity.
