Abstract

This issue of Revista Perspectivas includes essays of great importance in the fields of economics and business. Topics covered include finance, projects, marketing, human resources, international trade, and economics.

It begins with an essay by Dr. Milton Coca C., aiming to provide a simplified approach to microfinance. Although initially from a commercial perspective, the approach is broadly generic, conceptualizing terms and outlining its application and development globally and locally. Bolivia has become an excellent market for microfinance products, enabling a robust and solid offering, including the entry of new competitors such as traditional banks.

Next is an essay by Mgr. Marcelo Cosio H., which addresses common questions about what a project and a business plan are, their differences and similarities, and whether there are standard structures for all projects and business plans, including their execution with public resources.

Following that, Dr. Juan Carlos Jordán S. discusses innovation from multiple fields of knowledge, emphasizing the lack of a single definition and the search for a consensus meaning. The essay presents concepts, importance, typologies, and ways to measure innovation.

Lic. Marcos Delgadillo M. highlights aspects related to companies holding significant market shares.

Mgr. Sassha Torrico T. analyzes how to measure the impact of human capital on business and financial results, focusing on objective indicators based on financial data, especially the human resources ROI developed by Jac Fitz-enz.

Mgr. Rafael Valdez Z.’s essay points out the sustained growth of global natural gas consumption (an average of 2% annually) and even higher growth in Latin America (5.1%), with a projected increase of 154% from 2002 to 2020. This scenario is considered conservative if other factors fostering additional growth are included.

Mgr. Eduardo Michel V. highlights that the relationship between climate and agricultural production has evolved over history, impacting production and causing inflation and poverty when natural disasters occur, particularly in developing countries.
