Abstract

In order to achieve higher levels of Economic Development, achieving a better distribution of income is a highly relevant goal, for this reason the central objective of the essay is to orient the study of the existing dynamics in the distribution of income for the Bolivian economy as a whole, and the departments of Cochabamba, La Paz and Santa Cruz in particular, in the years 2005, 2017 and 2020.

For this, data from the Integrated Household Survey and statistical processing through STATA have been used, having proven that there is an inverse relationship between Poverty and Economic Growth. In the case of Bolivia, for the period 2005 - 2017, a considerable reduction in poverty was observed as well as high economic growth, objectives that were compatible, and in concordance with indicators of better distribution of wealth.
