Health equity is a key goal for policymakers, although its implementation is challenging due to deep social inequities. The gap between the current situation and ideal equity is large, but reducing it could save many lives. In Bolivia, despite a decline in infant mortality, rates remain high compared to other regional countries. This study analyzes women’s access to four health services in Bolivia using 2003 data, measuring inequity with the concentration index and highlighting its causes. The need for more effective actions to improve health equity, especially for vulnerable groups, is emphasized.
