The need to plan in organizations is so obvious and so great that it is difficult to find someone who disagrees with it. But it is even more difficult to apply planning processes in human resources within organizations if the necessary techniques to do so are lacking. For this reason, this work aims to be a theoretical guide so that professionals from different fields interested in knowing and deepening their knowledge in human resource management understand the importance of strategic human resource planning.
The evolution of the economy and markets, population and values, and legislation is forcing organizations to prepare and, as much as possible, anticipate changes. These new challenges require human resources specialists to develop plans where short, medium, and long-term objectives are linked to the general goals of the organization.
