Editorial Guidelines

History

Perspectivas is a journal published by the Department of Business Administration, Economics, and Finance of the Universidad Católica Boliviana “San Pablo”, Cochabamba Campus. All rights reserved under applicable law.

The journal was established in May 1998, initiated by Dr. Rafael Terrazas P. and Dr. Roberto Álvarez T. From 2005 to 2024, the journal was under the editorial leadership of Dr. Osvaldo Gutiérrez A. Starting in 2025, Dr. Rodrigo Almeida C. assumed the role of editor, bringing a renewed focus and enhancing the journal's academic rigor and scientific standards.

Currently, *Perspectivas* is indexed in five international databases (SciELO, LATINDEX, REDALYC, DOAJ, EBSCO). Each issue includes five peer-reviewed articles, with an average length of 160 pages.

 

Aim, Scope, and Target Audience

*Perspectivas* is an academic and scientific research journal focused on the field of business sciences. Its primary aim is to provide a platform for dialogue between the Universidad Católica Boliviana “San Pablo” and the broader business sector, academic and research institutions, public and private organizations, and other stakeholders interested in economic development and entrepreneurship.

The journal features articles on topics such as economics, management, business, information systems, innovation and entrepreneurship, finance and accounting, leadership, organizational development, marketing, sales, and related areas. These contributions are intended to serve both professionals and students in the field of business sciences.

 

Mission and Vision

Mission: In the specialized research journal market for economics and business sciences, *Perspectivas* aims to enhance the image of our university and department by offering a cutting-edge publication. It fosters the dissemination of innovative articles and essays that support student education, faculty and professional consultation, decision-making, and scientific knowledge development. The journal integrates continuous improvement practices and the values of the university community, including its Christian ethos, to generate positive academic and societal outcomes.

Vision: To position the Department of Business Administration, Economics, and Finance as a leading academic reference through *Perspectivas*, establishing it as the foremost publication in its field at both the regional and national levels. This will be achieved through a comprehensive development plan that fosters intellectual production aligned with scientific rigor, social commitment, and Christian values, combined with an effective distribution strategy, ongoing content improvement, and the promotion of academic talent and excellence—surpassing readers’ expectations.

Originality Polic

Perspectivas requires the originality of all submitted scientific articles. The content and its authenticity are the sole responsibility of the authors.
