Copyright
Perspectivas affirms its commitment to the protection of copyright in accordance with the provisions of Law 1322 on Copyright and its corresponding Regulations in the Plurinational State of Bolivia. According to Article 6 of said regulation, the rights of authors over their literary, artistic, and scientific works are guaranteed, regardless of their format, medium, or purpose.
The journal fully respects moral rights of authors, which are permanent, non-transferable, inalienable, and unwaivable. Therefore, every submitted contribution always retains the authorship of the researcher.
Perspectivas is declared an open-access and free-of-charge publication with no profit motive. As such, it does not engage in any commercial exploitation of the proprietary rights of the articles. Consequently, authors retain full rights over their intellectual work.
If an author wishes to reproduce their article, in whole or in part, in another publication after it has been published by the journal, they must formally notify the Editorial Board. Additionally, the new publication must include a footnote stating that the article was originally published in Perspectivas, indicating the year, issue number, and corresponding DOI.
It is also clarified that contributions must not be under simultaneous review by other publishing platforms. The author transfers the proprietary rights of the article only until the journal issues a final editorial decision, whether it be acceptance or rejection.
Perspectivas supports the protection of copyright for each contribution under the following legal framework:
- Law 1322 (1992). Bolivia: Copyright Law, April 13, 1992.
- Supreme Decree 23907 (1994). Bolivia: Supreme Decree No. 23907, December 7, 1994.
