History
PERSPECTIVAS is a journal of the Department of Business Administration, Economics and Finance at the Universidad Católica Boliviana “San Pablo”, Cochabamba Campus. All rights reserved under applicable law.
The *Perspectivas* journal was established in May 1998, promoted by Dr. Rafael Terrazas P. and Dr. Roberto Álvarez T. The journal began publishing scientific articles from 2005 to 2024 under the direction of Dr. Osvaldo Gutiérrez A. Beginning in 2025, Dr. Rodrigo Almeida C. assumed the role of editor-in-chief, providing a renewed focus and enhancing the journal with high scientific standards.
Currently, the journal is indexed in six international databases (SciELO, EBSCO, DIALNET PLUS, LATINDEX, REDALYC, and DOAJ). Each issue contains five articles with an average length of 160 pages.
Purpose, Thematic Coverage, and Target Audience
PERSPECTIVAS is an academic and scientific research journal focused on business sciences. Its main objective is to create a communication space that fosters dialogue between the Universidad Católica Boliviana “San Pablo” and the business sector, academic and research institutions, public and private organizations, and sectors of society interested in economic development and entrepreneurship.
The journal features articles on economics, management, business, information systems, administration, innovation and entrepreneurship, finance and accounting, leadership, organizational development, marketing, sales, and related topics. These works are undoubtedly valuable for professionals and students in the business sciences.
Mission
In the specialized research/training journal market in the field of economic and business sciences, we contribute to positioning and strengthening the image of our university and department through the development of a cutting-edge publication. This journal follows an innovative approach by publishing articles and essays that are useful for student education, faculty and professional consultation, decision-making processes, and the advancement of scientific knowledge. It is guided by continuous improvement practices and supported by the university community, integrating Christian values and generating positive outcomes.
Vision
To become a journal that positions the Department of Business Administration, Economics and Finance as the leading publication of its kind in the regional and national market. This will be achieved through a development plan that establishes an efficient intellectual production space, committed to science, society, and Christian faith; supported by an effective promotion and distribution strategy. The journal will continuously improve its content and encourage the talent of our academic staff and top-level professionals, ultimately exceeding the expectations of our readers.
Originality criterion
PERSPECTIVAS requires the originality of the scientific articles it publishes, which are the sole responsibility of the authors.
